Top 10 Myths About New 3D Technology
Top 10 Myths About New 3D Technology
by Curtis Hoskins Copyright 2010
3D is certainly the next incredible step in the development of
High-Definition Home Entertainment. And over the past year we have
seen many new 3D TVs arrive in the marketplace, allowing us to enjoy
3D Blu-ray movies, 3D programming and 3D games. However, this
unbelievable, but rather "new" technology comes with a lot of consumer
uncertainty about 3D TVs and 3D Blu-ray players. So here are a few
questions and answers that may help in disproving some untruths about
enjoying 3D at home.
What is required to view 3D TV at home?
To view any 3D images at home you will need a 3D capable television, as
well as a source capable of providing 3D images. This is usually in
the form of a 3D Blu-ray Player but it can be from your satellite box,
gaming console or from a streaming internet source. If you are using
an A/V receiver or home theater it needs to be 3D capable. Otherwise
you will have to go without high-resolution blu-ray surround sound
that require a HDMI connection to your A/V receiver. The alternative
is to get a Blu-ray Player, such as Panasonic DMP-BDT310 or Samsung
BD-D6700, with dual HDMI outputs. Lastly, you need a pair of 3D
glasses for each viewer.
